So we love the beach.... We think we live there. Only in our dreams. This was our trip to Avila with my dad. I'm a little late on updating things. We spent a week at the beach and the Boys loved it. We hit up the Avila Barn about 3 or 4 times. The boys love to feed the animals and get ice cream.
Sweet little face! I love him!

They sure clean up well. Both the boys have blue in their hair for 4th of July.
When it's Hot we Play in the water!
No Training Wheels!
Trent has been begging us to take off his training wheel. So finally one day after Derick got off work, before he could even go in and change his clothes, Trent had him taking off the training wheels. So I run into the house to get my camera because I wanted to catch the falls and Derick running up and down the street. But by the time I run in and come back out I see Trent riding down the street with no help. Derick said he gave him a push and off he went. He didn't even crash. His first crash didn't come for a week. He has now graduated to a bigger bike that he can hardly touch the ground.

ER Visit
The day began just like every other day: wake up, go to swim lessons... but after swim lessons Trent wanted to stay and watch his friend Ryder do gymnastics. There is a bar like counter in front of a window that you can look out to watch the kids. Well Trent wanted to sit on it so he could see Ryder. We were all done and ready to leave so Trent put his foot on the chair to get off when his foot slipped and his head hit the metal chair and then the concrete. Right away a HUG bump on his head. Yes one of the scariest things I've ever seen. They called 911 and he was taken to the ER. Thank you Jesus for good news. The CT Scan came back good, no fracture or bleeding. All the praise be to Jesus. Then we were sent home with a list of things to look for. So that entire day and night I was a nervous wreck. To make a long story short I did not sleep that night. I watch Trent all night making sure he was ok.
I can not even imaging how BIG and AMAZING God is. To have to Sacrifice his son for all of us. I could not do it. So many of you know I struggle with anxiety and yes it did set in. My dear friend Christy gave me a verse to carry around all day repeating. Philip. 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." This verse really helped me. I really do feel God's peace in my life. I slept good last night. I woke up this morning and couldn't believe I slept through the night. Thank you God for your peace. We are still praying for a safe healing. We had a 8:30 am Dr. Apt for a follow up. The Dr. said it looks to be healing great. Dr said the swelling might last a couple more days and his head and eye's will continue to get more black and blue. So if that happens I will have to post a few more picture of his little face.
God has really taught me to live every day to it's fullest. We do not know God's plan for our life. As my husband told me,"Do not worry, trust in God's plan and have a little faith!" I will continue to work on these areas in my life. One last verse that helped me was Mathew 6:25-27 "Therefore I tell you do not worry about your life... Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life?"

Little more crazy!
Macy's quad is a little smaller than his so he likes to ride hers because he feels like he has more control. So he likes to do donuts and go over "jumps" bumps.
A little taste of what it was like at Trent's Birthday!
This is Trent on his new quad! Little crazy!
Trent is 3!
We asked Trent what do you want to do for your birthday and he said "ride my quad!" After discussing the idea, we decided since that's what he wanted to do for his birthday we would go ahead and let him ride his quad. Derick didn't think it would be a good idea to invite a lot of kids to his party because most kids haven't ever been on a quad before and could get really hurt or there would be a lot of fighting over his one quad. So we only invited family and make the party all about Trent. This is Trent here on his new Christmas present.

More Pictures from our trip!
We rode our bikes across the street to the produce stand. The kids love going over there to feed the animals. Luke is our animal lover... he wanted to get in the pen with them. Trent on the other hand isn't to sure of them. Any sudden noise like a moo or a baa freaks him out.
The poor old people that come for weeks at a time to stay in the trailer park were probably glad to see us leave. These kids rode their bike rain or shine! All day long. We didn't care as long as they weren't in our hair. A one bedroom trailer gets really tight with 5 kids and two adults in it. When they were riding their bikes we could actually have time to relax or get dressed. Go have fun kids! Go visit grandma's trailer, I'm sure they would love to have all you over!
Easter Vacation!
The week of Easter break, Derick's sisters, mom and grandma invited us to go to the beach with them for the week... sounds fun right? The kicker... it was only girls and kids! What! Who does that!? Who is really on vacation that week? The guys for sure! They stayed at home and worked but got to do whatever they please after that! My heart goes out to all the single parents out there. Not an easy job! So Nikki and her three kids and me and my two kids stayed in one trailer. And Rikki and her ONE daughter, grandma Delynn and grandma lala stayed in one trailer. Night one... Luke started the trip off cutting TWO teeth and falling down the stairs and getting a black eye! He was up all night crying and not sleeping well. Yep morning one there, I was wishing I drove my own car because I was ready to pack up and go home! Needless to stay the trip didn't turn out that bad. We actually had a fun time.
There is a beautiful bike path that we got on at the trailer park and it took us all the way to Avala Beach! On the way home one day the boys crashed! We tried to ride our bikes as much as possible. The kids really enjoyed it!
Shopping one day, we bought the kids a five dollar kite. That was the best investment ever! Our kids wanted to fly that thing all day everyday!

So you would think that Trent would be used to the ocean since we go camping on the Dunes all the time... but he was a nervous wreck! He was for sure that some one was going to let go of the kite and it was going to be eaten by the ocean. He also never took his eyes of Luke. He kept saying he was afraid he was going to drown in the ocean. If Luke would take two steps away from me Trent would freak out! What a protective big brother!
